About the Role
As a Finance Officer – Accounts Payable, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining financial compliance, safeguarding assets, and supporting effective program delivery. This position requires a proactive, detail-oriented individual who thrives in dynamic environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Safeguard cash and valuable documents.
- Manage payments, receipts, and online invoicing systems (ProSave).
- Ensure complete and compliant documentation for all financial transactions.
- Maintain daily transaction records and prepare monthly cash reconciliations.
- Support periodic financial reporting and assist in bank reconciliation processes.
- Ensure compliance with Save the Children and donor financial policies.
- Collaborate with the Finance Coordinator to enhance financial tools and reporting systems.
- Provide capacity-building support to ensure adherence to financial processes and tools.
What We’re Looking For
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field.
- At least 2 years of progressive experience in financial management, auditing, or compliance in not-for-profit organizations.
- Strong strategic financial management and problem-solving skills.
- High proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and financial systems.
- Excellent communication skills, initiative, and ability to work independently under tight deadlines.
- Willingness to travel to field programs as required.
