Job Purpose:
To be fully accountable for the development, review, and maintenance of a good practice project management strategy, approach, standards, processes, procedures, tools, and techniques employed in managing major Site Acquisitions, Civil & Power implementations throughout their life cycle to achieve Zain business objectives and ensure the realization of business case benefits.



1. To manage a significant program /portfolio of site rollout and fitting out and end-to-end technology (design, build, test, and implement) major projects
2. To develop, manage, and implement stakeholder and supplier management and communication plans to support the agreed project/program portfolio.

3. To ensure business requirements are specified in respect of major projects/assignments and that these are reflected in program /project plan tasks/activities and milestones.

4. To liaise closely with internal customers/colleagues to ensure that business change impacts are effectively assessed, and project implementation/business change releases are planned to minimize the risk of de-stabilization to the business.

5. To be fully accountable for project/program budgetary control and management, monitoring, and reporting of variances.
 
6. Ensure a planned set of activities to achieve the project/program scope to timescale, budget, and quality specification is prepared and implemented.

7. To be personally responsible for the day-to-day control of major projects/programs, directing and coordinating small multi-disciplinary teams to complete the work efficiently and effectively.


8. To monitor and maintain control of projects undertaking any necessary corrective actions by closely monitoring and managing changes, issues, risks, and dependencies.

9. To ensure that work is carried out according to technical and professional standards and to meet all regulatory and legal requirements.

10. To ensure work plans are developed and baseline and that allocated resources are delivered to the plan, taking account of any changes arising from regular progress reviews.

11. To contribute to the effective management, motivation, and development of project team resources by liaising closely with key line management personnel and other relevant parties within the project, to ensure problems/issues are identified and resolved or appropriately escalated at an early stage.

12. To manage relationships with third-party MS /contractors/suppliers to ensure optimal value and return on investment
13. To ensure contingency plans are in place and regularly reviewed/updated to mitigate risks/issues as projects roll out.

14. To be fully accountable for the quality, accuracy timeliness, and effectiveness of project reports.

15. To manage and develop staff within the Project Management Function.

16. To Analyze offers; tenders etc.. negotiate contracts with contractors/suppliers.

17. Ensure compliance with all applicable policies & regular requirements on Information Security.

PERSON SPECIFICATION

Qualifications/Experience:

-BSc in related fields of Engineering.
– Experience 5-7 years
-Strong knowledge of site rollout process and procedure.
– Previous experience working in a project management environment or project management discipline essential
– Mobile Telecommunications background desirable
– Senior/International management experience preferred
– Should have a previous strong track record of success in managing large-scale end-to-end projects/programs
– Professional qualification required

Knowledge:
– Broad understanding of all stages of the Mobile Telecoms. The business process from network planning through to customer fulfillment to ensure appropriate integration of solutions to business requirements (with specialist knowledge/experience of one or more areas)

– Good understanding of the Sudan market and Zain business strategy, goals, and competitive environment

– Understanding of budgetary and resource management and control policies and processes

– In-depth knowledge of current best practice Project Management approaches and methodologies

– Good understanding of best practice Change Management processes and methodologies

– Understanding of the relevant regulatory, legal, and other contextual factors impacting the successful management of projects within the Sudan market
