Background:
We are seeking committed professionals who will play a key role in supporting the Medical Coordinator, ensuring smooth coordination with authorities, proper program management, and compliance with MSF protocols, safeguard, medical and hygiene standards, and contribute to the effective delivery of high-quality medical care in our projects. to improve the health conditions of the populations we serve.
As the Medical Coordinator Support, you will play a key role in supporting the Medical Coordinator with delegated responsibilities to ensure the smooth management of MSF’s medical operations. Your responsible for administrative and coordination tasks, fostering strong relationships with local and national authorities and supporting program management in the projects. With a focus on compliance with MSF protocols, you will contribute to the delivery of quality medical care and the improvement of health conditions for the targeted population.
Duties and responsibilities:
- FP NS health at mission level: collaborate and coordinate with projects staff health FPs to keep records updated and support projects if any issues.
- finalising and folowing up implementation of NS health forms and database.
- Referral of sick staff to hospitals (electroctronic system) and follow up referral.
- follow up vaccination status of NS + appointment with hospitals.
- Make Reimbursement form staff health and send to medco for validation.
- If needed, renew all service agreements with hospitals for staff health.
- Supervision of councilor for staff health and plan visit to projects>>> coordination with PMRs.
- Staff health briefing for national staff (new) and for IMS (new).
- Keep staff health document and documentation updated.
- Play Active role in Medevac when decided, as per Medevac Policy and lease with Medco and deputy Medco.
- Follow up MSF staff under PEP anministrative procedure + prepare PEP kits with documentation – ALWAYS lease with Medco.
- Organise with logs and follow the first aid bags system in cars and make sure SoP of movement is followed by all projects.
- Link with pharma to make sure check monthly staff health boxes, including follow up stock of malaria profilaxes for IMS in the different projects.
- Assessement: medical in charge in case of assessement needed in new areas in collaboration with medco, EPI and medical team.
- FP for coordination IR> monthly IR and IR requested by Medco.
- Attend formal meeting and provide/share minutes.
- Support in writing strategy and concept notes.
- Participate actively in writing of mission SitReps by compiling of project’ reports.
- Keep actor mapping updated regurarly.
- Ensure MSF protocols and guidelines in place and followed in projects.
- Plan visit to project, in collaboration with medco, PMRs, MAMs to support implementation of components that need extra support.
- When requested by Medco, cover gap of MAM for defined period depending on operational needs.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Medical Doctor Degree equivalent in a related allied health.
- At least 2-4 years’ experience in a related field, and in a developing country.
- Proven experience as a manager in an INGO setting.
- Training or experience in tropical medicine and/or public health.
- Essential B2 English and Arabic Level.
- Computer literacy (word, excel and internet, Share Point).
