Background:

Duties and responsibilities:
General
- Comply all BFD’s policies (Safeguarding policy, Code of conduct, Child protection, Safety & Security policy.) and other relevant policies and procedures.
- Comply with BFD’s policies and practice with respect to BENFS protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other relevant policies and procedures.
- Creates a managerial environment to lead, enable and maintain our culture of safeguarding.
Specific
- Produce daily, weekly, and monthly nutrition reports and compile data from supported health facilities and mobile teams.
- Conduct regular supportive supervision visits to health facilities and mobile teams, including screening, OTP, TSFP, and IYCF activities.
- Monitor the availability and proper use of nutrition commodities, anthropometric equipment, and reporting tools.
- Follow up the performance of nutrition staff and community-based workers and provide on-the-job coaching where needed.
- Support logistical and financial departments in providing the required documents to facilitate procurement and payments.
- Review and validate health facility nutrition reports and ensure timely submission.
- Monitor staff attendance and compliance with minimum nutrition service delivery standards and national protocols.
- Submit weekly and monthly supervision reports, photos, and attendance sheets to the MEAL/Project Officer.
- Ensure that project supplies in warehouses and facilities are protected from damage, loss, or tampering.
- Print, process, and distribute reporting tools, registers, protocols, and related records to targeted facilities.
- Verify that reported data is collected correctly and that reporting templates, indicator tracking, and M&E tools are properly used.
- Follow up on reporting gaps and support corrective actions to improve data quality and performance.
- Assist in planning and facilitating trainings and review meetings for nutrition staff and volunteers.
- Perform any other duties assigned by the supervisor.
Health and Safety
- The post holder must at all times carry out his/her responsibilities with due regard to
the BFD policy, organization and arrangements for Health and Safety at
Work.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Degree or Diploma in Public Health, Nursing, Medicine, Pharmacy, or another related field.
- Minimum 2 years of field-level work in health programs with NGOs or public health systems.
- Fluency in Arabic required; basic English preferred.
- Strong knowledge of health and nutrition policies, guidelines, and best practices.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and digital data collection tools
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills and making decisions quickly and independently.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with diverse stakeholders.
- Good organizational and time management skills and resourcefulness with strong attention to detail.
- Extremely flexible and have the ability to cope with stressful situations.
