Administrative assistant – Embassy Of Jaban
The Embassy of Japan in Sudan, currently operating in Cairo, Egypt is seeking to hire one full-time locally recruited staff member for an administrative position as follows: (Application deadline: 17:15, March 12, 2026).
Job Description
(1) Location: Embassy of Japan in Sudan, currently operating in Cairo, Egypt (inside the Embassy of Japan in Egypt).
(2) Duties: The role includes organizing schedules, handling secretarial tasks, assisting with economic cooperation portfolio management, public relations, and other administrative duties.
Working Days and Hours
(1) Working Days: Sunday to Thursday, from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM
(2) Holidays: Holidays to be designated by the Embassy.
Conditions:
(1) This office is temporarily located in Cairo. Consequently, the contract period will be six months, expected to start from 19 April and continue until 16 October. It is expected that extensions of contract, if the Embassy and applicant agree, will be also period of less than six months.
(2) Salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
(3) There will be no commuting allowance or housing allowance in addition to the salary.
Qualifications:
(1) Applicants must hold Egyptian nationality, or be married to an Egyptian national, or otherwise possess valid long-term residence status in Egypt, with intention to settle and ability to work continuously for an extended period.
(2) Must be fluent in Japanese (N1 or N2 in the Japanese-Language Proficiency Test is required) and English, and be capable of reading comprehension and document drafting.
(3) Must have Experience in logistics, translation, and advanced skills in PC (Microsoft Word, Excel and Power Point etc.).
(4) Must have good inter-personal communication skills with Japanese and other local staff, an attitude of actively learning new things.
(5) Have strong intention to work as a bridge between Sudan and Japan.
(6) It is preferable to have work experience in the field of economic cooperation.
(7) Be available to start working around 19 April 2026 (start date negotiable).
