Duties And Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the FAO Representative (FAOR) in Sudan and Deputy FAOR, the general supervision of the COMMUNICATION & PARTNERSHIP Specialist, the candidate will perform the following tasks:
- Assist with scheduling of various component of the production process .e.g.(copy and proofreading. graphics, translation, service, typesetting, printing .etc.).
- Mastery in updating websites and create new as per request.
- Fluent Arabic & English language (spoken & written).
- Mastery of Microsoft office tools.
- Planning and directing the development of programs to maintain favorable public and stockholder views of the organization’s agenda and accomplishments.
- Studying the organization’s objectives, promotional policies, and needs to build public relations strategies that influence public opinion and promote products, ideas, and services.
- Preparing and editing organizational publications, including employee newsletters or stockholders’ reports, for internal and external audiences.
- Writing press releases and other media communications to promote for the organization events.
- Responding to requests for information release or press conference from the media or designating a spokesperson or source of information.
- Creating posters and the brochures in the primary stages and creating publicity ideas to advertise for the organization events.
- Coordinating with field offices on the upcoming events.
- Follow up the needed information from field offices.
- Support in editing all the media stones (success stories, news, etc.)
Minimum Qualifications Required:
Applications will not be considered from candidates who do not possess ALL of the Essential Qualifications.
Education: University Degree in Communications or related field.
Experience: At least three years of relevant experience in the field of communications or related fields.
Other: Working knowledge of the English language.

Technical/Functional Skills:
- Ability to work under pressure and adapt to an evolving and complex humanitarian context and within multidisciplinary and different cultural background teams;
- Strong analytical skills and knowledge of agriculture, food security, livelihoods and value chains in the context of Sudan;
- Experience or familiarity with food security and livelihoods assessments methodologies, including surveillance or monitoring systems, Post-Disaster Needs Assessments, Damage and Losses assessments, agricultural production assessment, market analysis, and/or value chain analysis;
- Experience in survey des sampling, data collection, data analysis, and interpretation for assessment processes in agriculture and food security;
- Expertise in remote data collection including phone or web-based surveys and/or remote-sensing would be a plus;
- Working knowledge of advanced statistics with ability to use statistical software packages (in particular SPSS STATA and/or R);
- Proven data visualization and reporting skills;
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written;
- Coordination skills with strong individual planning capacity,
- Knowledge of humanitarian principles.
