The Logistic Assistant (Assets) works under Senior Logistic Officer – Asset. He/she shall perform this job successfully,
an individual must be able to perform each essential function with or without reasonable accommodation.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Get information of newly purchased assets physically and share with Assets Controller.
- Support on quarterly/annually verification of assets.
- Collecting and filing documents of assets and attractive items procured in Port Sudan and field sites.
- Prepare Tagging for new assets / Attractive receive.
- Update new attractive items receive in excel sheets Update new asset receive to the system (Costpoint system).
- Assist in maintaining updated assets inventory sheet monthly bases.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking the movement of IMC and Donor assets, especially when the asset its status.
- Assist in reviewing all monthly asset reports from all field sites.
- Assist in ensuring assets are controlled and managed properly in accordance with IMC and donor-specific policies.
- Retrieve assets and reassign at the end of employee term of service.
- Assist in coordinating the transfer of assets from ended projects to existing or opening grant with do approval.
- Prepare IMC assets list for disposal as per Donor regulation and approval, with reference to the Organization policy.
- Visit field offices for asset inventory (physical count) during report period.
- Actively promote PSEA (prevention of sexual exploitation and abuse) standards within International Medical Corps an among beneficiaries served by International Medical Corps.
- Adhere to the Code of Conduct, maintain humanitarian principles and respect international humanitarian law at all times.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum one (1) year experience with other INGO, NGO, UN or international agency in Logistics/similar capacity.
- Must be able to read and write in Arabic and English
- Academic qualification: Graduate in business studies, Supply Chain, Logistics, Computer science/Diploma, and engineering field.
- Technical diploma in relevant filed will be added value.
- Ability to work in stressful working condition.
- Willingness to travel to field office across Sudan.
