MSF-Swiss is seeking to employ 3 (three) qualified candidates in the Khartoum Project for the position of Cleaner. Interested applicants may find the detailed job description of this position below.
Duties and responsibilities:
Main Purpose of the position:
Execute, according to hygienic standards, housekeeping, cleaning and tiding up activities to ensure public and staff private areas are in good condition.
Responsibilities
- Clean bedrooms, bathrooms, toilets, offices and other rooms in MSF premises (houses and offices).
- Do the laundry, iron clothes and other housekeeping activities (emptying trash cans, etc.).
- Support the cook (washing up, cleaning the kitchen, etc.).
- Sweep and mop the floors.
- Restock supplies (toilet paper, soap, etc.) as required.
- Upon arrival, prepare hot water for tea/coffee and refill drinking water.
- Check that the toilets are well stocked with paper and soap.
- Check that the water supply (kitchen, showers, etc.) is sufficient during water cuts.
- Keep premises properly locked (doors, windows).
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Requirements
Education: none required
Experience:
- Essential: Minimum 2 years of experience in this or similar positions.
- Highly desirable: Experience with MSF or another (I)NGOs.
Language: Arabic.
Knowledge:
- Basic cleaning skills and knowledge of good hygiene.
- Awareness of privacy and confidentiality principles.
