Carry out all activities related to entry of medical data into the mission database, according to MSF protocols and maintaining confidentiality, in order to have reliable and up to date information.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Enter medical data (e.g. patient data, dates of visit, content of prescription, viral load, etc.) in mission’s database on a regular basis and according to MSF protocols.
- Participate in compilation of data both from MSF structures and from collaborating health facilities.
- Participate in the search for missing data.
- Update files of existing patients and make any corrections needed.
- Make regular back-ups of all data processed.
- Look after all equipment provided and keep recording area clean and tidy, giving special importance to all patient files.
- Report any issue concerning data management to superior.
- Elaborate statistical reports when required by the medical team.
- Ensure, promote and maintain confidentiality regarding all information registered.
MSF Section/Context Specific Accountabilities
Enter the medical data from the register book and update the daily line list. - Enter de data in the HMIS system regarding the activities in the different department supported in Pediatrics (ITFC, ER, Observations, IPD)
- Elaborate the weekly report and sharing with the team for analysis.
- Compile the data need according to the specifications of the PMR.
- Support with other medical reports needs and data reporting.
- Participate in trainings and support the medical staff in improving the QoC in data collection.
- Report to the line manager the necessary information for follow up and technical support.
- Maintaine at all times good atmosphere in the workplace including commitment with the behavior policy of MSF.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Education | Secondary education essential. Desirable Technical Diploma in IT, Statistics, MIS. |
Experience | Essential Previous experience in data entry and data collection. Desirable Previous experience with MSF/NGOs. |
Languages | Mission language and Local language are essential. Arabic and English |
Knowledge | Able to learn and use software used for recording (HMIS, Line, list, etc)Essential computer literacy (word, excel) |
