Background:

Organizing and supervising the daily supply chain activities and the teams associated, in the coordination or project level, according to MSF protocols and standards in order to ensure the optimal running of the mission

Duties and responsibilities:

• Supervising and organizing the daily activities of the Supply Chain team, including Purchaser.
• Being responsible for the order, purchase, stock and freight management in the coordination or in the project level, monitoring and ensuring an efficient implementation of the overall daily supply chain activities.
• Monitoring and ensuring a smooth-running supply administration and the respect of the implemented supply procedures, proposing adjustments where needed.
• Being responsible for the supply database and the correct filing and archiving of the supply documentation in order to guarantee the availability and the coherence of supply data.
• Communicating with customers, keeping them up to date concerning their orders status (BO confirmation) and prioritizing procurement and transport according to their needs.
• Collecting claims from the field, analysing causes, and making corrective actions.
• Informing the Supply Coordinator in case of any major issue and draws-up all required reporting, in order to keep updated and reliable information that will help in decision-making.
• Performing any other tasks within the scope of his role, as directed by supervision and according to the needs of the mission.

Context Specific Accountabilities

• Ensure continuous monitoring and assessment of the Khartoum market and its accessibility, in compliance with MSF supply standard procedures.
• Ensure the reception of cargo coming from PZU in line with state conditions and established processes.
• In close collaboration with the Pharma and Logistics teams in Khartoum, ensure that medical and logistical supplies are appropriately deployed where most needed, according to Project requests.
• Provide transversal support on all supply-related topics to both Coordination and Project levels in Khartoum, directly reporting to the Supply Coordinator.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Education	A technical bachelor’s degree is essential (preferably in a field related to Logistics and Supply Chain).
Language	Fluent in both written and spoken English and Arabic is mandatory.
Experience	A minimum of 2 years of experience in the humanitarian sector in similar roles, particularly with MSF, other INGOs or UN agencies operating in Sudan, is mandatory.Desirable proven understanding of MSF field supply activities (general knowledge of MSF equipment and kits, both medical and logistical).Proven experience of at least 2 years in procurement and transport-related activities (Sudan context) is not mandatory but will be considered a strong asset.Proven experience in warehousing and customs-related activities (Sudan context) is not mandatory but will be considered a strong asset.Proven proficiency in the use of the Microsoft Office package (especially Excel) is mandatory and will be assessed during the written test.Proven proficiency in the use of Unifield will be considered a strong asset.Candidates from the humanitarian sector, including MSF, whose experience does not meet the requirements outlined in this job description will not be considered.
