The Group Cash Transfer (GCT) Coordinator will play a pivotal role in supporting the implementation and coordination of Group Cash Transfer programs under the guidance of the GCT Manager. This position will involve close collaboration with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of cash transfer initiatives. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to humanitarian principles.

Generic Responsibilities:

  1. Support the GCT Manager in the management and coordination of Group Cash Transfer programs across designated areas.
  2. Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and donor requirements in all aspects of program implementation.
  3. Assist in the development of strategies and projects related to Cash and Markets, with a focus on Group Cash Transfer initiatives.
  4. Assist in the coordination of project activities, including budget management, documentation, and reporting, in alignment with proposals and donor guidelines.
  5. Support the implementation of technical direction to maintain high-quality standards in program delivery.
  6. Contribute to the identification of beneficiaries in need and explore innovative approaches to address their requirements effectively.
  7. Participate in capacity-building initiatives for project staff and stakeholders to enhance skills and knowledge related to Group Cash Transfers.
  8. Collaborate with colleagues to promote awareness and understanding of Group Cash Transfer programs within the organization.
  9. Assist in ensuring the overall quality and effectiveness of Cash and Markets programming within the response.
  10. Contribute to networking and representation efforts at the strategic level, fostering relationships with relevant stakeholders.
  11. Support engagement and scoping activities related to Financial Service Providers (FSPs) in collaboration with the Cash and Markets Coordinator.
  12. Contribute to workforce planning efforts, including recruitment activities, to strengthen Cash and Markets capacities within the organization.
  13. Assist in establishing and maintaining technical reporting lines and liaising with local authorities and key stakeholders.
  14. Uphold advocacy strategies to promote the rights of internally displaced persons (IDPs) and returnees in line with organizational objectives.

Specific Responsibilities:

  1. Program Design and Planning:
    • Support the GCT Manager in designing and developing Group Cash Transfer programs, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives.
    • Assist in conducting assessments and analysis to identify target communities, beneficiaries, and their specific needs.
    • Contribute to the development of detailed implementation plans, timelines, and budgets for program activities.
  2. Partnership Management:
    • Assist in identifying and establishing partnerships with relevant stakeholders, including Emergency Response Rooms, NGOs, and government agencies.
    • Support the maintenance of strong relationships with partners, ensuring effective communication and collaboration throughout program implementation.
  3. Program Implementation:
    • Aid in the coordination of program activities, including beneficiary registration, cash distribution, and monitoring.
    • Support internal and external stakeholders to facilitate program activities and ensure adherence to standards and protocols.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Assist in the development and management of program budgets, tracking expenditures, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and donor requirements.
    • Contribute to monitoring cash flow processes and financial transactions related to Group Cash Transfer activities.
  5. Training, Capacity Building, and Awareness Raising:
    • Support the development of training materials and resources for program staff, partners, and community members.
    • Assist in delivering training sessions and capacity-building activities to enhance skills and knowledge related to Group Cash Transfer methodologies.
    • Participate in awareness-raising campaigns and community engagement activities to promote understanding and participation in Group Cash Transfer programs.
  6. Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning:
    • Collaborate with the Monitoring and Evaluation unit to develop and implement plans for assessing program effectiveness and impact.
    • Contribute to data collection and analysis efforts to inform program adjustments and improvements.
    • Support knowledge-sharing initiatives to facilitate continuous learning and innovation within the program.

This role will provide crucial support to the GCT Manager in ensuring the successful implementation and coordination of Group Cash Transfer programs, contributing to the organization’s humanitarian mission and objectives.
