Efficient and effective implementation of construction works 

SCOPE OF ROLE: Apply SCI policies and procedures in materials specifications and construction works 

  • Accomplishes construction works by drafting specifications sketches, recommend suppliers/ contractors, scheduling, communicating job expectations, planning, and monitoring in accordance with SCI policies and procedures.
  • Technically manages contractors by locating, evaluating, and involved in selecting sub-contractors; monitoring and controlling performance.
  • Meets operational standards by contributing construction information to strategic plans and reviews; implementing quality and beneficiary / partner- service standards; resolving problems; identifying construction management system improvements. 
  •  Building materials and labor estimation costs in accordance with budgets, procurement, and other criteria to accomplish project result; identifying technical specification, accurate quantities connecting variances, and implementing corrective actions.
  • Approval construction projects by conducting inspection at critical phases; obtaining approval from beneficiaries before taking over them contractors/ supplies.  
  • Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures, complying with legal regulations at local and national levels.
  • Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing high standard job, exploring opportunities to add value job accomplishments.
  • Frequently visit and monitor all construction work within different sectors.
  • Maintain frequent updates and reports on work progress or delays in implementation schedule

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or architecture engineering 
  • At least 3 years of progressively working in construction supervision.
