The Gender Technical Specialist will provide expert guidance on gender equality and social inclusion across programs and initiatives. The role involves developing gender-responsive strategies, conducting gender analyses, and ensuring the integration of gender considerations in policies and projects.
Duties and responsibilities:
- Develop and implement gender-focused strategies to enhance program impact.
- Conduct gender analysis and assessments to inform project design and implementation.
- Provide technical support to teams to ensure gender mainstreaming across all activities.
- Design and deliver training sessions on gender equality and inclusion.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to promote gender-sensitive policies and initiatives.
- Monitor and evaluate gender-related outcomes and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Contribute to research, reports, and advocacy efforts on gender issues.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Gender Studies, Social Sciences, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in gender-focused roles within international development, humanitarian, or policy-driven organizations.
- Strong understanding of gender analysis frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience in training facilitation and capacity-building on gender-related topics.
- Excellent analytical and report-writing skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and stakeholders.
- Strong communication and advocacy skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of relevant policies and frameworks on gender equality.
