Background
SCOPE OF ROLE: The role is responsible for the overall planning, implementation, and supervision of the SC Health and Nutrition program components, which aim at protecting and enhancing the health and nutritional status of vulnerable groups. He/she will ensure that all aspects of the program are completed in a timely and professional manner by SC Policies and Procedures and by the MoH policies.
Duties and responsibilities:
KEY AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:
- Overall implementation of Health and Nutrition program activities in the areas of intervention for SCI.
- Draw monthly, quarterly, and yearly Detailed Implementation Plans (DIPs) including expenditure projection, procurement Plans, budget phasing and forecast, and other appropriate requirements.
- Coordinate/participate in H&N assessments and coverage surveys associated with the implementation of the Health, Nutrition, and WASH programs.
- Monitor and promote integrated programming in a way that increases the overall impact of health and nutrition programs at the community level.
- Coordinate program implementation with other SC sectors and ensure monthly project budgets are absorbed wisely, on time, and with quality.
- Develop a good relationship with partners working in the Health and Nutrition fields.
- Represent the program to State and Local government representatives, partner agencies, etc. as required.
- Ensuring the sharing of experiences between Health and Nutrition programs in different states.
- To participate and contribute to the inter-sectoral and inter-agency assessments in Gazira and Khartoum State related to improving Health and nutrition status.
- Ensure that all donor questions, concerns, and information requests are resolved appropriately.
- Execute all project activities to achieve project indicators based on SC standards.
Minimum Qualification, Skills, and Experience Required:
QUALIFICATIONS
B.Sc. in health disciplines (MBBS, Nursing, and Public Health), preferably with a master’s degree in public health, health management, nutrition, and any related field of study.
EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
Sector Experience
Minimum 3 years of working experience in a similar position with humanitarian health and nutrition programs.
Skills.
- High communication skills (oral and written), with the ability to provide clear advice from a distance.
- Proven organizational skills with an ability to deliver consistently to deadlines on operational and project responsibilities.
- Proven budgeting management skills.
- Proficient in English of English language
- Computer skills
