Triangle Generation Humanitaire (TGH) is an international, non-partisan and non-profit organization that operates according to principles of strict neutrality, political and religious impartiality, and non-discrimination. TGH launched its mission in Sudan in 2004. Since then, TGH has been implementing projects in Food Security and Livelihood, water supply, sanitation, and hygiene promotion.

Under the supervision of HR coordinator, the HR Senior Officer is responsible of Mission daily follow up of HR issues, making sure Sudanese labour laws and TGH policies and procedures and implemented correctly.

1. Responsibilities and Related Tasks

The Logistics Assistant supports the Logistics team in the operational implementation of logistics tasks, including procurement, fleet and transportation, utility management, fuel and generator monitoring, storage, and maintenance. The role requires a professional and committed attitude in representing TGH’s core values: humanity, impartiality, and independence.

Procurement/Purchase

Tasks:

  • Support the Logistics Coordinator in sourcing, collecting quotations, and ensuring on-time delivery of requested goods and services.
  • Assist in the preparation of purchase files in line with TGH procurement procedures.
  • Collect suppliers’ documents and verify completeness before submitting to the Logistics Coordinator.
  • Monitor delivery schedules and report any delays to the Coordinator.

Fleet and Transport Management

Tasks:

  • Assist in the planning and coordination of daily vehicle movements and transport needs.
  • Ensure proper documentation for all movements, including waybills and vehicle logbooks.
  • Supervise the loading/unloading of goods, ensuring quality and quantity checks.
  • Report any vehicle incidents, losses, or damages immediately to the Logistics Coordinator.

Generator and Fuel Management

  • Perform daily checks on generators (fuel level, oil, coolant, and general condition) and ensure proper usage.
  • Track and report fuel consumption for vehicles and generators regularly.
  • Ensure timely refueling and maintain sufficient fuel stock levels in collaboration with the Logistics Coordinator.
  • Keep maintenance schedules updated and report any technical issues or breakdowns.

Utility Management and Maintenance

Tasks:

  • Follow-up on utility needs (electricity, water supply, waste removal) in offices and guesthouses.
  • Support in the identification and follow-up of maintenance needs for premises and equipment.
  • Conduct small repairs and preventive maintenance when feasible.
  • Coordinate with contractors for technical jobs and supervise work when required.

 Stock and Asset Management

Tasks:

  • Ensure all supplies and equipment are stored properly in a clean, safe, and organized environment.
  • Support periodic physical inventories of consumables (stationery, cleaning/hygiene items, etc.).
  • Monitor inventory levels and alert the Coordinator when replenishment is needed.
  • Ensure that water and fuel stocks are maintained at optimal levels at all times.

Documentation and Reporting

Tasks:

  • Ensure proper archiving of logistics files under the guidance of the Logistics Coordinator.
  • Submit daily and weekly updates on key logistics indicators (stock, fleet usage, generator fuel, procurement progress).
  • Report any irregularities, incidents, or delays in logistics operations.

Teamwork and General Support

Tasks:

  • Participate in logistics and coordination meetings as requested.
  • Provide support to other departments when needed and upon Coordinator’s request.
  • Demonstrate team spirit, professionalism, and flexibility in daily tasks.

Capacity Building

Tasks:

  • Actively participate in trainings provided by TGH and share new knowledge with colleagues.
  • Inform Coordinator of any personal or team training needs related to logistics responsibilities.
  • Support capacity building efforts for local partners and counterparts, when applicable.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

Education:

 -University degree 

Experience & Skills:

-Minimum 2 -5 years’ experience in a logistics-related position.

-INGO experience will be an asset.

-Knowledge of procurement, fleet, generator maintenance, fuel monitoring, and warehouse operations.

-Basic mechanical and electrical understanding (particularly for generator handling).

-Strong organizational and manual skills.

-Good computer skills (MS Excel, Word) are an asset.

-Proficient in Arabic (written and spoken); basic English communication is required.
