Org. Setting and Reporting
The position is located in the United Nations Integrated Transition Assistance Mission in Sudan (UNITAMS). The United Nations Security Council adopted resolution 2524 (2020) authorizing the mandate of UNITAMS which is to assist the political transition, progress towards democratic governance, in the protection and promotion of human rights, and sustainable peace; support peace processes and implementation of future peace agreements; assist peacebuilding, civilian protection and rule of law, in particular in Blue Nile and South Kordofan (the Two Areas) and Darfur; and support the mobilisation of economic and development assistance and coordination of humanitarian assistance.
The position is based in Khartoum and is located in the Operations and Resource Management Section, Property Management Unit. The incumbent will report to the Chief, Property Management Unit.
Responsibilities
Within the limits of delegated authority, the Supply Chain Business Intelligence Assistant will be responsible for performing the following duties:
Assist the Chief of Units/Sections within Mission Support and other stakeholders on matters related to performance analysis of the efficiency and effectiveness of the Supply Chain in the Mission. Monitor key indicators to analyze the Supply Chain performance against established benchmarks. Prepare performance reports based on the established key performance indicators, matrix.es, corporate targets, reporting schedules and action plans. Review and ensure accuracy of PP&E, inventory and warehouse data.
Support the development of mission specific KPls, dashboards for Business Intelligence (BI) and ensure integration of data flow for the designed SCM dashboards, through the life cycle of goods and services.
Assist Unit and Section Chiefs on data analysis and independent root cause analysis conducted with key stakeholders/business process owners. Assist in timely collection of information which help drive business results and guide decision making process. Assist in development of data visualization to derive actionable intelligence and enable management decisions.
Assist in the operationalization of Supply Chain and Property Management concepts, implementation instructions on Supply Chain and Property Management self-assessment and performance reporting. Draft Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs) and flow charts in the areas of supply chain, property management, inventory and warehouse management.
Liaise with various mission’s stakeholders and process owners to gather and verify specific business requirements for the end-to-end Supply Chain performance management. Assist in the development and promulgation of Business Intelligence Guidance and Procedures and monitor compliance; run quality checks, highlight anomalies and communicate to relevant stakeholders for correction.
Supervise and provide work direction and guidance to national GS staff, manage and coordinate the activities in his/her area of responsibility. Analyze and identify requirements for capacity building and provide subject matter expertise for conducting training events.
Perform other duties, as required.

Education
A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Work Experience
A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible experience in supply chain management, property management, logistics management, asset management, inventory control and management, or related field is required.
Experience in sourcing, cleaning and preparing data, selecting and developing visualizations/metrics that enable easy communication/interpretation by the users is required.
Experience working in Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) (SAP/UMOJA), SAP Business Intelligence (BI), Power Bl and Structured Query Language (SQL) analysis tools is required.
Experience in providing supplychain, property management or logistics support services in an international organization is desirable.
Languages
English and French are the working languages of the United Nations Secretariat. For the position advertised, fluency in English (both oral and written) is required.

Evaluation of qualified candidates may include an assessment exercise which may be followed by a competency-based interview.
