- Objectives of the Position:
To develop and implement the CVA component of its food security and livelihoods programs in Sudan. The CVA Program Coordinator will take overall responsibility in the design and implementation of Cash and Voucher Assistance programs both as part of food security and livelihoods and as component of Nutrition-sensitive, Social Protection-oriented or other targeted cash transfer programs, in line with guidelines established by the Cash Working Group. Responsibilities include leading and overseeing the development and delivery of high quality, safe, conflict-sensitive and cost-effective Cash and Voucher Assistance (CVA) programs, resulting in enhancing community’s social protection nets, including access to sustainable sources of food and income.
Duties and Responsibilities:
The Deputy Head of Project has all but not limited to the following duties and responsibilities.
– planning, implementation and monitoring of project activities together with the local project partners
– Provides technical support to Field Officers with close coordination and communication
– Participate and co-facilitate project familiarization to stakeholders and beneficiaries
– Co-facilitate the exercise on beneficiary targeting and site selections in the two project localities
– Keep discussions and updates to the project staff and stakeholders on changes in activities, modalities and schedules related to the project
– Coordinate regular meeting arrangements held with community representatives, beneficiaries and community establishments in the two localities
– Coordinate with Field Officers on community mobilization processes and participatory planning
– Support on arranging meetings and field visits for government officials, donors and WHH visitors
– Make sure close contact and good working relationships are maintained with the different stakeholders and target groups
– Participate and represents the HoP on forums and meetings organized at state level where relevant to the project
– Support legalization of the formation and representation of community-based organizations
– Support in the assessment and capacity development processes of partner organizations
– Maintain regular meetings & ensures good working relationships with partner organizations
– Keep close contact and good working relationships with local authorities and line ministries
– Ensure WHH complaint and feedback mechanism is accessible and operational for all relevant stakeholders at all levels
– Ensure the Field Officers are being supported sufficiently from Kassala coordination office in performing their activities
– Support the establishment and application of monitoring and data collection tools for the project
– Compile necessary project data obtained through monitoring and studies for reporting and documentation purposes
– Assist the coordination role on all assessments and evaluations done by internal or external consultants
Specific Responsibilities:
- Team members are expected to support and assist each other’s, as well as replacing each other during leave periods.
- Keep records (both hard and soft copies) of project activity documents and project plans.
- Representing the organization and project in meetings if it becomes necessary.
- Assist in the planning, coordination and implementation of other project activities throughout the project duration.
- Provide feedback on constraints encountered during project(s) implementation and make recommendations and/or suggestions.
- Keep Welthungerhilfe internal information confidential.
- Any other additional responsibility, in coordination and agreement with Area Manager, if it becomes necessary during the duration of the project.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Qualification:
Education: Higher university degree in community Development, Social Sciences, or another related field.
Experience: At least 5 years’ professional experience on project coordination and management of project expenditure/ plans with international organization.
Experience in planning, leading and coordinating with other partners at the field level.
Experience on managing teams and working with donor fund project.
Advance knowledge on MS Office skills (MS Word, MS Excel, MS Access) is mandatory.
Strong communication on spoken and writing English language is mandatory.
