To provide effective specialized support and technical analyses to policy and
programme activities that effectively meet food assistance needs.

With delegated authority, the Programme Associate will be responsible for the following duties: 

1. Assist in coordination with cooperating partners/Government counterparts for implementation of nutrition programme activities.  Support in preparing nutrition reports and updates for different reporting requirements (Sitrep, Distribution reports, sector 4Ws). 

2. Assist in organizing and conducting training in Nutrition for cooperating partners government counterparts and field offices. 

3. Assist in the preparation of governorate-wise, partner-wise, monthly and periodical allocation plans. Analyze and prepare projections for food commodities and non-food items to ensure timely call forward and/or local procurement.

5.   Commodity management and tracking in coordination with logistics and partners including preparation of commodity release notes, to ensure timely food dispatches.  Ensure timely submission of reconciled, monthly distribution reports along with invoices. 

6. Assist in updating and maintenance of programme data every month for SPR, sitrep and monthly updates (reports may be needed on a weekly or need basis).

7.   Coordinate with M&E for monitoring updates and feedback and carry out technical monitoring to nutrition programme activities.  

8. Assist in conducting coordination meetings and prepare notes- the records.  Assist in the development of IEC material and reporting formats, briefs, and presentations. 

9. Assist in assessing the partner’s performance evaluation and preparation of the evaluation final report. 

10. Prepare status and progress reports by providing information and background material for use in discussions and briefing sessions. 

11. Support in developing sensitization materials for various nutrition-specific and nutrition-sensitive programmes.
