General Responsibility:
The overall objective of PSS Facilitator is to ensure, under the responsibility of CP Manager, the implementation of activities related to child protection, within the project framework.
In the course of undertaking his/her tasks, she/he represents TGH with professionalism, honesty and commitment and attempts at all times to maintain TGH professional reputation through the work implemented.
Duties and responsibilities:
Responsibilities and related tasks
1. Activities implementation
Ensure practical carrying out of Child Protection activities in project targeted locality.
Related tasks:
- Participate in the assessment of child protection activities and needs in the targeted locations.
- Participate with child protection team members in recreational/PSS activities design based on children active participation, it will also include educational objectives.
- In Multi-Purpose Centres for Adolescents and Children (MPCAC), contribute to the set-up of individual and/or group activities for children according to each age group needs.
- For case management, collaborate closely with Case Workers to design children psycho social support plan aligned with case management implementation plan in order to increase children wellbeing.
- Ensure security and safety conditions for children in MPCACs.
- Organize PSS/recreational activities adapted to age groups.
- Coordinate frequently with Case Workers and community volunteers to support identification of children with child protection issues.
- Participate to case management meeting with Case Workers and CP Manager upon request.
- Contribute in to awareness raising activities to promote children’s rights within project targeted locality.
- Work closely together with all TGH project team members.
- Ensure equally treatment to the beneficiaries, respect confidentiality and follow TGH ethical guidelines.
- Be fully aware of CP weekly, monthly plan.
- Collect various CP activities field data, as requested by CP Manager and Project Manager (e.g. number of women, man, boys and girls participated in awareness raising activities).
- Participate in beneficiaries’ identification, collect beneficiaries’ information, and contribute to create beneficiaries list soft version and update it regularly.
- Contribute to CP stock monitoring in each MPCACs.
- Contribute to prepare, organize and carry out distribution according to project activities.
- Participate actively to CP mobile approach plan throughout the project cycle.
- Participate in the community meetings and mobilize CBCPN upon needs.
- Participate in the implementation of CP activities according to project implementation plan priorities as set by the CP Manager and Project Manager.
- Follow-up CP material and equipment usage and needs in targeted locations.
- Contribute to trainings implementation as requested by CP manager.
- Support CP training sessions upon request.
- Contribute to CP activities data entry and ensure case management cases confidentiality.
- Share regular updates on security in the areas of intervention to CP Manager, Project Manager and Field Coordinator.
- Support partners staff to carry out their tasks, as directed by CP Manager.
- Facilitate awareness raising on PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) to affected populations and local communities and the various mechanisms for reporting abuse or concerns related to PSEA, including contact information.
- Ensures that TGH staff and partners comply with the Child Safeguarding Policy.
- Inform community members on TGH Feedback Complaints and Response Mechanism and support beneficiaries into it.
- Collaborate with project partners when needed along with CP Manager guidance.
2. Monitoring and reporting
Related tasks:
- Contribute to beneficiaries’ data collection as directed by Management team.
- Ensure timely reporting on ongoing conducted activities to Management team.
- Inform CP Manager, Project Manager and Field Coordinators of any context updates (e.g. challenges linked to project implementation, emergency needs).
- Report to CP Manager, Project Manager any interesting events that can be used to communicate about TGH project (e.g. success stories).
- Support and monitor that TGH staff respect PSEA and Child Safeguarding policies.
3. Capacity-building
Related tasks:
- Participate actively in training courses recommended by TGH, and share new skills and knowledge with his/ her team or colleagues
- Inform CP Manager of any training needs identified and/or training opportunities on his/ her job related matters
4. PSEA & SAFEGUARDING:
- Assist in the management of skilled and basic workers of the team.
- Support and monitor that TGH staff respect the PSEA and Child Safeguarding guidelines.
- Ensures that TGH staff and partners respect and implement the Child Safeguarding Policy
Any other tasks assigned by Management Team based on TGH activities ongoing that may require support during project implementation.
Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:
Required knowledge and skills and required
- Degree/Diploma and/or certification in public health, childhood development, Child Protection, Social and Education sciences, Psychology or other related fields.
- Participated in CP activities along with line ministries, CP institutions, NGOs.
- Minimum 2 years’ experience as PSS facilitator, preferably with NGOs.
- Experience in community work is highly appreciated.
- Basic computer skills (word/excel/outlook).
- Basic English knowledge (able to speak, read and write).
- Knowledge of the locality and good relationships with community leaders.
- Proficient in the main local language in the area.

Net Salary 566 USD
NOTE: TGH does not provide guesthouse accommodation at the assigned duty station. (This position is not entitled to TGH INPAT Status)
