The Organisation
Plan International is an independent development and humanitarian organisation that advances children’s rights and equality for girls. We believe in the power and potential of every child but know this is often suppressed by poverty, violence, exclusion and discrimination. And it is girls who are most affected.
Working together with children, young people, supporters and partners, we strive for a just world, tackling the root causes of the challenges girls and vulnerable children face. We support children’s rights from birth until they reach adulthood and we enable children to prepare for and respond to crises and adversity. We drive changes in practice and policy at local, national and global levels using our reach, experience and knowledge.
For over 85 years, we have rallied other determined optimists to transform the lives of all children in more than 80 countries.
We won’t stop until we are all equal.
The Case Management Officer will provide
effective case management interventions to support at-risk children, especially unaccompanied and separated children, ensuring adherence to standard operating procedures and child protection standards. The position will lead efforts to strengthen the capacity of social workers, case workers, and community volunteers through training, mentoring, and coaching. The role aims to ensure that all services are age- and gender-appropriate, maintain high quality, and align with Plan International’s guidelines for child protection.
The position involves overseeing
the implementation of case management services, including Family Tracing and Reunification (FTR), alternative care, and referrals to specialized services. The Officer will ensure proper documentation using the CPIMS+ system and manage efficient case tracking. Responsibilities also include collaborating with partners and government stakeholders to identify and support children in need, maintaining quality reporting and data management, and participating in case review meetings and inter-agency coordination.
Essential criteria for this role include
a bachelor’s degree in Law, Social Sciences, or related fields, with at least two years of experience in child protection and case management in humanitarian settings. The role demands strong community mobilization, analytical, and leadership skills, along with the ability to provide technical support and capacity building. Effective communication in English and Arabic, good interpersonal skills, and the ability to work under high stress in demanding environments are also necessary.
Do you have what it takes?
If you are motivated to support and protect vulnerable children, possess strong mentoring and leadership abilities, and can work effectively in diverse and challenging environments, this role may be the right fit for you. Your dedication will help Plan International continue to make a lasting impact on children’s lives.
