It is widely documented that education provides a pathway out of poverty, protects girls from early marriage and child labor, as well as violence. The proposed initiative will contribute to poverty reduction by improving equitable education outcomes for vulnerable girls and women living in conflict-affected areas of Sudan. Girls, women, boys and men from these communities, especially the most marginalized and vulnerable, will be empowered to engage in addressing multi-dimensional barriers, including gender-specific issues, preventing girls and women from accessing education.
