Background
DRC has been present in Sudan since 2004, delivering life-saving programming in protection, emergency response, shelter, food security and livelihoods, disaster risk reduction, camp management, and humanitarian mine action. DRC has implemented projects in Central Darfur, South Darfur, South Kordofan, Gedaref, Kassala, White Nile, Al-Jazeera State and Khartoum states.
The overall purpose of the role:
Under the supervision of the Base Manager, the HR and Admin assistant is responsible for assisting in daily HR and Admin operations.
Responsibilities:
Human Resources
- Filing of employee records as per legal and internal requirements
- Develop and manage relevant HR and admin trackers – including leave, recruitment, learning and staff location
- Support with administrative tasks related to recruitment, including posting of vacancies and coordination with candidates
- Support with practical tasks related to staff onboarding and off-boarding, including coordination with the Supply Chain unit
- Support with basic tasks related to payroll, social security, insurance and staff claims (if any)
- Responsible for ensuring that employees have valid ID cards at all times
Administration
- Perform administrative tasks related to document management; including printing, coordinating signatures, scanning, and archiving
- Book hotels and flights for DRC staff
- Coordinate practicalities related to events, meetings and trainings
- Monitor the stock level of office supplies and stationery and prepare replenishment orders
- Handle DRC Guesthouse management including occupation planner, supplies, and maintenance
- Supervise the cleaners/Cooks and oversee relevant requirements of the kitchen sets and hospitalities.

- Minimum 1 year of relevant work in a similar job
- Deep knowledge of the local context (Central Darfur)
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or related area
- Good communications skills
- Fluency in English and Arabic
- Ability to deal with emergency
