The Partnerships & Civil Society Strengthening Manager will support?
The Partnerships & Civil Society Strengthening Manager will support the identification, development, and nurturing of strategic partnerships and the strengthening of civil society organizations to enable Plan International Sudan to implement its Country Strategy. This role plays a crucial part in ensuring that partnerships are aligned with Plan International’s Global Standards and that partners are equipped to deliver long-term, impactful change, especially in the areas of child rights and youth governance.

The position involves?
This position involves developing, updating, and implementing Plan International’s partnership frameworks, policies, and guidelines. The role includes managing contractual relationships, providing capacity-building initiatives for partners and Plan staff, and ensuring that these efforts contribute to strengthening local civil society. The manager will also advise on partner relationships, facilitate partnership reviews, and ensure compliance with safeguarding and gender equality policies.

Essential criteria for this role include?
Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Social Work, Communication, or a related field, with at least 7 years of experience working with a variety of partners in a development or humanitarian context, including a minimum of 2 years in a similar position. Experience in partnership management, team leadership, and civil society strengthening is essential. Familiarity with rights-based programming and the ability to work with diverse cultures and lead teams are also required.

Physical environment requirements for this role include?
The role is typically based in an office environment but requires regular travel to field locations, which may involve varying conditions depending on the project areas. This could include working in rural or remote areas and adapting to different environments and challenges during field visits. The ability to work effectively in both office and field settings is essential for this role.
