Background:
Save the Children International (SCI) in Sudan is seeking a dynamic and creative Multimedia Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about design, with the ability to enhance SCI’s visibility and brand in Sudan through compelling multimedia content.
Duties and responsibilities:
MULTIMEDIA CREATION
- Design visually appealing digital and print materials, including but not limited to information leaflets, illustrations, reports, banners, posters, infographics, social media posts, and videos.
- Adapt graphics for various platforms (social media, video, print) while ensuring creative, effective, and high-quality outputs.
- Maintain and update the visual quality of online platforms, including the website and social media channels.
- Ensure consistency and adherence to SCI’s style guidelines and brand standards in all design work.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create materials for project activities, reports, and publications.
- Develop and update the ACCM Hub sections to facilitate effective information access and adherence to donor visibility guidelines.
- Assist in proofreading (Arabic and English) of text used in all designs.
- Contribute to the preparation of materials for the Content Hub (SCI’s global online content management platform).
- Support the production of multimedia content, including video, animations, and illustrations by coordinating with videographers, cartoonists, and artists.
SOCIAL MEDIA MANAGEMENT
- Develop and implement social media strategies to enhance SCI’s online presence and engage the target audience effectively.
- Create and curate compelling content for various social media platforms, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Monitor and analyze social media performance metrics, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
- Manage social media calendars, schedule posts, and ensure timely delivery of content.
- Stay updated on social media trends and emerging platforms, proposing innovative ideas for increased visibility.
- Respond to social media inquiries and comments in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate social media initiatives into overall communication strategies.
- Support in the creation of multimedia content specifically tailored for social media platforms.
Minimum Qualification, Skills, and Experience Required:
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- Professional experience with Adobe InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator (required), and Premier (desired).
- 3-5 years of graphic design experience in a professional environment.
- Thorough understanding of the print process.
- Experience in video editing (Premiere, Final Cut) and motion graphics.
- Ability to adapt to new insights and learn in a fast-paced NGO environment.
- Strong knowledge of design fundamentals, layout, typography, and digital applications.
- Excellent command of English and Arabic, with strong editing skills.
- Effective communication skills, both written and oral, for internal and external interactions.
- Ability to present complex information succinctly and compellingly.
- Demonstrable ability to coordinate work collaboratively and achieve shared program objectives.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with a results-oriented mindset.
