JOB PURPOSE

To support effective delivery and maintenance of client-focused, value-for-money oriented quality administrative practices. 

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES (not all-inclusive)

The Adminstration Assistant (Photocopier Technician) will report to the Head of Office in the area and will be responsible for the following;

  • Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair copiers/printers/scanners, and related technical equipment
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on equipment
  • Perform routine preventive maintenance checks on equipment
  • Perform diagnostic and remedial maintenance, cleaning, and repairs
  • Install and upgrade systems
  • Provide support for installed systems
  • Provide end user training.
  • Perform routine maintenance on copier/scanner/printers
  • Perform preventative maintenance on copier/scanner/printers
  • Perform minor maintenance on copier/scanner/ printers
  • Maintain and complete copier/scanner/ printer logs
  • Record and report incidents and malfunctions
  • Contribute to project planning and execution
  • Assist in inventory control, including ordering and stocking supplies
  • Keep all service records, including documentation on jobs completed and parts used
  • Provide customer support

STANDARD MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education: Completion of secondary school education. Post-secondary certificate in the related functional area.
Language: Fluency in both English & Arabic Language.

Experience: Four year minimum experience in general Administration Services.

DESIRED EXPERIENCES FOR ENTRY INTO THE ROLE

  • Has demonstrated an ability to perform all routine administrative activities in line with WFPs operating standards through day to day work
  • Has supported in providing ad-hoc guidance to new staff members
  • Previous experience of carrying out photocopier/printer maintenance for UN agencies in remote field locations, and familiarity with procedures for dispatching spares and equipment through UNHAS.
  • Third level qualification or industry technical certification in printer/photocopier maintenance is preferable.
