What will you do in this position?

You will deliver a full range of HR support services to ensure accurate implementation of WFP policies and procedures and facilitate the effective functioning of a client-focused and strategy-oriented HR services in WFP Sudan.

Accountabilities?

HR Officer will be responsible for following:  

  • Contribute to the development of effective talent acquisition strategies by using new technologies, social media, software and networks, to identify, attract, and hire the best talent in support of the country office’s strategic goals.                 
  • Stay up-to-date on new media tools, and best practices, and seek management’s support to implement them for achieving recruitment goals. 
  • Partner with managers to understand their specific functional staffing needs and implement solutions to meet these needs, following standard processes and ensuring alignment with wider WFP policies.                         
  • Articulate WFP’s employee value proposition to enhance visibility and reputation in key sourcing channels by carrying out impactful and targeted employer branding activities.        
  • Build partnerships and develop and maintain strong relationships that include outreach to schools, institutions of higher learning, target diversity organizations, professional associations and other recruiting sources to ensure sourcing produces a strong talent pipeline.   
  •  Review and streamline the recruitment process through straightforward data analysis and put forward some simplifications to contribute to process efficiencies and improvements.                                                    
  • Contribute to the preparation of a regular, accurate report (ie a dynamic dashboard) on the talent acquisition activities that enables informed decision-making and consistent information for stakeholders.                                     
  • Increase the quality of applicant flow, including both internal and external, passive and active candidates.      
  • Handle full-cycle recruitment for the positions in the country.    
  • Successfully communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process and support inbox management.
  • Contribute to larger-scale initiatives and perform other activities as required. 
  • Provide support in building talent within WFP, working with managers to understand their needs and organizing solutions to recruit, retain and develop a high caliber workforce to deliver the business strategy.
  • Support for organizational design activities that enable senior management to define and organize structures and jobs, and allocate people to the right places in order to improve efficiency.
  • Perform other duties as required.  

Qualifications:

Education: Advanced university degree in Human Resource Management, Public or Business Administration, Industrial Psychology or other relevant field, or First University degree with additional years of related work experience or trainings/courses. Experience:

Experience: One years of professional experience in HR for holders of an advanced university degree.

                Three years of professional experience in HR for holders of a first university degree.

Language: Fluency in Arabic and English language is required. 

DESIRED SKILLS AND REQUIREMENTS

  • Experience working in an international environment, as part of a multicultural and diverse team highly is desirable. 
  • Excellent verbal, written, and organizational skills, with the aptitude to adapt communication style to the relevant audience. 
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities at any time, while maintaining high standards of work on a tight schedule in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Strong analytical skills – creative problem solver that can run analysis using different sources of information and deliver comprehensive, balanced and impactful analysis. 
  • Comfortable analyzing in Excel, including manipulating data and visualization. 
  • Working knowledge of Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS). 
  • Strong IT skills, proficient in using MS Office products (including MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word). 
  • Exceptional time management; proactive with a strong sense of urgency. 
  • Demonstrated cultural awareness and ability to work in a multicultural, diverse, and inclusive workplace.
