Review existing legislation, state and by-laws, and community training materials available in Sudan and specifically with WES and SWC in Gedaref.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Programmes (HoP) and the direct supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO) the successful candidate will be responsible for the carrying out the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Khartoum, Sudan.
Efficiently oversee the operational functions of the CIU team including contract management of the relevant technical assistance, payment management, partnership management, risk management and monitoring required for project delivery.
Verify resource requirements in the area of responsibility (WFP facilities, assets, light vehicle fleet, etc.), and assist in the identification of new requirements to facilitate efficiency and cost-effectiveness of operations and services.
To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.
Supervise implementation on ICLA activities in Kerenik, West Darfur
Protect UN Personnel, facilities, installations, and equipment.
Make recommendations on establishment and improvement of HR system and work process for Khartoum and all field offices.
Develop specific layout and graphic design for UNHCR Sudan documents, banners, sign-boards, posters and other visual and visibility materials
Maintain awareness of corporate finance and resource management strategies and major ongoing programmatic initiatives, participating where appropriate using finance and resource management expertise.
Under the guidance of the WASH Officer/specialist support the implementation of the joint GoS-UNICEF workplan activities to achieve the planned targets;
Consolidates budget projections and demand plans from technical units through review of stock holdings, consumption patterns, procurement cycle times, requirements, and forecasts of internal and external customers.
To support effective delivery of finance, budget and administration support services in order to facilitate transparent and efficient utilization of financial resources.
To perform tasks related to the implementation and assessment of security measures and maintenance of equipment with a view towards providing updates and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making and secure WFP staff, facilities and operations.
