Researches and retrieves statistical data from internal and external sources; prepares statistical charts, tables and reports, extracting data from various sources.
Assist the Country Manager, HoP and Business Development Specialist in reviewing proposals with emphasis on support elements in accordance with UNOPS Policies and Procedures.
Implement country specific communication work plans designed to maintain and enhance the visibility and reputation of WFP, as well as support fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with overall communications and WFP strategies.
Providing guidance in the process of FLA management for all the units, ensuring all the review and due-diligence processes have been followed in line with corporate guidance
Plans and implements the operational activities related to the work of the office or Mission, i.e., Provide in accordance with prevailing best practices
Respond to queries and escalate where appropriate, in order to provide a timely and accurate service to logistics contractors.
Participate in strategic WASH programme planning discussions. Prepare WASH donor proposals, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s Strategic Plan, UNICEF’s global WASH strategy and the Country programme, as well as government plans and priorities, and the role of other external support agencies.
Monitor the allocation and disbursement of programme funds, making sure that funds are timely and properly disbursed, monitored and liquidated.
Lead the development, consolidation and maintenance of a country-specific repository of information (at the highest geographic resolution possible) on core public health indicators (e.g. crude and under-five mortality rates, prevalence of malnutrition, vaccination coverage);
Provide a full range of secretarial services, ensuring that deadlines are met and correspondence and queries are responded to in a timely manner
Translates documents, subject to revision, from Arabic into English and vice versa covering a broad range of subjects dealt with by UNITAMS, i.e, political, legal, rule of law, gender, electoral, financial, administrative, technical etc, ensuring that all deadlines are met, and the quality of translation is adequate
You must be staff member from one of the UNICEF offices in MENA Region.
Effective knowledge management systems adopted and utilized to strengthen area/country programme management.
Work collaboratively with colleagues and partners to implement the WASH portfolio (60% time spent on water supply and 40% on sanitation)
