Summary:
Under the managerial and technical supervision of the Health Officer, the Reproductive Health Supervisor will be fully responsible to support the reproductive health staff and provide quality reproductive health care and services to patients assessing health services in all the supported HFs. He or she will ensure a triage system is in place to identify critical sick patients for prompt care or support the referral to the higher level health facility, ensure continuity of care, and that SMOH standards and protocols are adhered to
Essential Job Functions:
- Ensure the availability of reproductive health supplies and equipment needed in the HFs.
- Ensure the provision of quality reproductive health services that include ANC, PNC, safe delivery, Family planning, and referral within the HFs.
- Oversee the management of the RH health staff at the HFs
- Supervise all Reproductive Health staff in the supported HFs
- Strengthen the referral pathway for both SGBV and obstetric cases
- Through a network of CHWs, ensure that health facility Delivery improves
- Contribute to the planning and implementation of health education and hygiene promotion messages.
- Ensure timely submission of RH data
- Provide job training to RH staff through weekly and monthly support supervision visits
- Share monthly activity narrative reports
- Follow MOH and WHO guidelines and protocols in managing patients.
- Ensure all cases should be registered in the registration book.
Qualification and Experience:
- Midwifery degree/diploma from an accredited University
- Minimum 3 years working in the implementation of primary health care programs at the field/clinic level or providing midwifery/RH services in a PHC clinic; Minimum 1 year working with NGOs or international organizations in the provision of curative and preventative services
- Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
- Minimum Working knowledge of English, with the ability to write in both English and Arabic languages.
- Ability to work on your own initiative as well as a part of a team
- Strong communication, management, and capacity-building (coaching) skills
