The Information Manager will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Child Protection Information Management System (CPIMS) and the overall field data management processes including data quality ethics, standardization of data utilization, etc. This role demands a high degree of flexibility to travel to field locations to ensure effective data collection, management, and reporting. The Information Manager will work closely with field teams, program staff to ensure data quality and integrity, facilitating evidence-based decision-making and program improvement

CPIMS Management :

  • He/she will oversee the implementation and maintenance of the CPIMS.
  • He/she will ensure the CPIMS is effectively capturing relevant child protection data.
  • He/she will train and support field staff in the use of the CPIMS.
  • He/she will monitor and evaluate the data entry processes to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • He/she will generate regular reports and analysis from the CPIMS to inform program strategies.

Field Data Management :

  • He/she will develop and implement data managements plans for field operations.
  • He/she will ensure standardized data collection tools and methodologies are used across field sites.
  • He/she will conduct regular field visits to support data collection and verify data quality.
  • He/she will coordinate with field teams to troubleshoot data collection and entry issues.
  • He/she will ensure data is securely stored and privacy is maintained in accordance with organizational policies.

Capacity Building :

  • He/she will conduct training sessions and workshops for field staff on data management and CPIMS.
  • He/she will provide ongoing technical support to field teams to strengthen data management capacities.
  • He/she will develop user manuals and guidelines for field staff on data management procedures.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

  • He/she will analyze field data to identify trends, gaps, and areas for improvement.
  • He/she will produce high-quality reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
  • He/she will collaborate with program teams to use data insights for program planning and evaluation.

Coordination and Collaboration :

  • He/she will work closely with the Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E) team to align data management activities with M&E frameworks.
  • He/she will coordinate with IT and database management teams to ensure seamless integration of CPIMS with other data systems.
  • He/she will engage with partners, donors, and stakeholders to share data insights and best practices.

PSEA & Safeguarding:

  • Facilitate awareness campaigns on PSEA (Prevention of Sexual Exploitation and Abuse) to affected populations and local communities, the standards of conduct expected of TGH staff and partners, and the various mechanisms for reporting abuse or concerns related to PSEA, including contact information.
  • Ensures that TGH staff and partners respect and implement the Child Safeguarding Policy.

Minimum Qualification, Skills and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in information management, Data Science, Computer Science, or a related field.A Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in information management, data management, or a related role in the humanitarian or development sector.
  • Proven experience in managing CPIMS or similar information management systems.
  • Strong understanding of data protection and privacy principles.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Computer literacy (excel, word), organizational, planning, and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in data management software and tools (e.g., Excel, Access, SQL, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of G-sheet and G-drive suite is an asset
  • Experience in capacity building and training of field staff.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills in English and Arabic.
  • High degree of flexibility and willingness to travel to remote and challenging field locations of TGH sites.

Personal features expected

  • Knowledge of humanitarian and development programming.
  • Familiarity with mobile data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, google forms, etc).
