Medecins sans Frontieres ( MSF) is an international humanitarian, non-governmental Organisation providing assistance to people in need as a result of natural and man-made, Disasters, irrespective of race, religion, or politics, MSF Switzerland (MSF-CH) is seeking To employ, a qualified candidate for the following position.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Receiving deliveries and orders, identifying potential disparities against cargo manifest or others and reporting them, and storing materials in accordance with the system in force, in order to ensure visibility as well as adherence to good storage and distribution practices as per MSF standards.
- Ensuring good storage conditions of all medical items in the pharmacy in accordance with pharmaceutical standards to ensure continuous availability.
- Ensuring correct fill-in entries on the stock management tools.
- Carrying out or participating in regular inventories of stock in Port Sudan and ensuring on-time preparation and distribution of stock in transit and EPREP stock requests.
- Following up stock levels with regards to alarm thresholds, stock out, expiry dates, and drugs to expire in the following 6 months.
- Controlling warehouse premises to ensure materials are kept in good condition and as per MSF standards including, Monitoring temperature in the warehouse and ensuring that products requiring cold chain are suitably stored, prepared, and transported appropriately according to MSF Supply and Cold Chain protocols.
- Ensuring cleanliness of the premises (stock pharmacy) and in close collaboration with the logistics department in equipment maintenance and vector inversion.
- Controlling warehouse limited access to authorized personnel and ensuring doors and other exits are secured. Immediately inform the line manager of any problems arising in the course of the work, particularly with regard to damage, loss, attempted break-ins, or theft in the warehouse.
- Ensuring that items to be quarantined (ongoing quality alerts) or to be placed in quarantine zone (batch re-calls, expired or damaged items) are removed from the stock and safely locked.
- Following up stock levels with regards to alarm thresholds, stock out, expiry dates, and drugs to expire in the following 6 months. Preparing reports and passing them to the supervisor.
Minimum Qualification, Skills, and Experience Required:

| Experience | Essential previous experience of at least 2 years in similar or relevant positions.Desirable previous experience in MSF or other NGOs in developing countries. |
