Review and analyse plans, mid-year and year-end reports of UNHCR office(s), ensuring quality assurance and compliance with established policies, guidelines, procedures and standards.
Contribute to the management and maintenance of the supervisor’s schedules, appointments, correspondence and missions with support of the Principal Secretary if relevant. Follow-up on policies and instructions presented by the supervisor. Keep the supervisor aware of relevant developments in UNHCR and of policy issues directly related to UNHCR or other matters of interest under the broader UN system.
Participate in the promotion of compliance with UNHCR¿s GBV policy, priorities and commitments (aligned with polices on age, gender, diversity (AGD) and accountability to affected populations (AAP), Child protection, gender equality, disability and youth empowerment
Translate global education objectives and strategic directions into guidance, strategies and priorities, in collaboration with other parts of UNHCR, and education colleagues in Regional Bureaux, to ensure coherence with UNHCR’s education policy and strategy.
Meet official personnel at airports or other locations and facilitate immigration and customs formalities as required.
Support the assessment and analysis of the needs of persons of concern in the country/region in a participatory manner and using an Age, Gender and Diversity (AGD) perspective as basis for planning
To provide a framework by which current eligible undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate students from diverse academic backgrounds may be assessed and assigned to UNICEF offices in Sudan, where their educational experience can be enhanced through practical work assignments;

General statement of purpose of the contract This position is located in USAID/Khartoum’s Executive Office. The USAID/Khartoum Executive Office provides the full range of management services in support of USAID activities in Sudan.
