POSITION OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Security Guardto protect the Medglobal Office and Clinic against external threats like theft and vandalism and against internal threats like fire.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- The Guard protects the MTI Office and clinic.
- He will work in close consultation with the Logistics.
- Adhere to MTI security and safety instructions and policies;
- Operates an electric generator and uses a logbook to register running hours and fuel.
- Report electric generator service due date and mechanical problems immediately to the direct supervisor.
- Pump water and assure availability of adequate water supply in office/guesthouses.
- Report shortage in water supply to direct supervisor.
- Keep the area in front of the office and the front yard clean and tidy at all times.
- Register staff arrival at work and departure at end of work hours in attendance logbook, and visitors in the visitor log book.
- Assure that there is an authorized permit for items leaving the office/guest house either in vehicles or with staff.
- Watch guard vehicles parked inside and outside MTI Office/Guesthouse compounds;
- Report any suspicious movements of people around Office/Guesthouse compounds immediately to direct supervisor and alert colleague guards.
- Assure that visitors do not enter the Office/Guesthouse carrying weapons or other potential dangerous items.
- Should stay awake and alert at all times during shifts.
- Loading and unloading of lightweight materials transported to/from Office
- Remove trespassers or unwanted individuals from the property
Qualifications and Skills
- Minimum education preferably completed secondary school or most of it with add-on security training. Preferably working experience of some years in the relevant field.
- Experience in training facilitation and strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate, negotiate clearly, have Writing skills and effectively at all levels.
- Experience in working in an NGO providing health care services will have additional value.
- Friendly Personality and Service oriented attitude. Ambition and ability to keep things clean.
- Proactive in the area of security.
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural and multi-religious setting.
- Must be Sudanese Nationality.
