The consultant in coordination the State level Committee on early warning and conflict resolution will provide technical and advisory support to the existing peacebuilding mechanisms across the 6 localities affected by inter-communal violence
Contribute to the implementation of Sudan Country Strategy especially WASH Strategy
Liaise with other humanitarian actors on HSS-related issues
Facilitating services in the functional areas of operations support: budget, financial management and reporting, facilities management, administration, supply and logistics management, information and communications technology, human resources, and safety and security;
Liaising with landlords/contracts and Estate Agents, arranging and holding meetings with landlords to negotiate leases, rents and any issues related to the properties.
Review existing legislation, state and by-laws, and community training materials available in Sudan and specifically with WES and SWC in Gedaref.
Under the overall supervision of the Head of Programmes (HoP) and the direct supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer (CMHO) the successful candidate will be responsible for the carrying out the following duties and responsibilities in relation to the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC) in Khartoum, Sudan.
Efficiently oversee the operational functions of the CIU team including contract management of the relevant technical assistance, payment management, partnership management, risk management and monitoring required for project delivery.
Verify resource requirements in the area of responsibility (WFP facilities, assets, light vehicle fleet, etc.), and assist in the identification of new requirements to facilitate efficiency and cost-effectiveness of operations and services.
To provide specialized support functions and/or supervise staff performing standard logistics/supply chain processes and activities to enable effective delivery of goods and services for all delivery modalities.
Supervise implementation on ICLA activities in Kerenik, West Darfur
Protect UN Personnel, facilities, installations, and equipment.
Make recommendations on establishment and improvement of HR system and work process for Khartoum and all field offices.
Develop specific layout and graphic design for UNHCR Sudan documents, banners, sign-boards, posters and other visual and visibility materials
