Under the guidance of the WASH Officer/specialist support the implementation of the joint GoS-UNICEF workplan activities to achieve the planned targets;
Consolidates budget projections and demand plans from technical units through review of stock holdings, consumption patterns, procurement cycle times, requirements, and forecasts of internal and external customers.
To support effective delivery of finance, budget and administration support services in order to facilitate transparent and efficient utilization of financial resources.
To perform tasks related to the implementation and assessment of security measures and maintenance of equipment with a view towards providing updates and recommendations to facilitate informed decision-making and secure WFP staff, facilities and operations.Â
The UNOPS ETMCO, Sudan office has recently signed MOUs with Donors, Government, and other UN agencies to implement projects on Infrastructure, Procurement, and Human Resources Management.
Researches and retrieves statistical data from internal and external sources; prepares statistical charts, tables and reports, extracting data from various sources.
Assist the Country Manager, HoP and Business Development Specialist in reviewing proposals with emphasis on support elements in accordance with UNOPS Policies and Procedures.
Implement country specific communication work plans designed to maintain and enhance the visibility and reputation of WFP, as well as support fundraising activities, ensuring alignment with overall communications and WFP strategies.
Providing guidance in the process of FLA management for all the units, ensuring all the review and due-diligence processes have been followed in line with corporate guidance
Plans and implements the operational activities related to the work of the office or Mission, i.e., Provide in accordance with prevailing best practices
Respond to queries and escalate where appropriate, in order to provide a timely and accurate service to logistics contractors.
Participate in strategic WASH programme planning discussions. Prepare WASH donor proposals, ensuring alignment with UNICEF’s Strategic Plan, UNICEF’s global WASH strategy and the Country programme, as well as government plans and priorities, and the role of other external support agencies.
Monitor the allocation and disbursement of programme funds, making sure that funds are timely and properly disbursed, monitored and liquidated.
Lead the development, consolidation and maintenance of a country-specific repository of information (at the highest geographic resolution possible) on core public health indicators (e.g. crude and under-five mortality rates, prevalence of malnutrition, vaccination coverage);
